In a recent post on Pandjaitan's personal Instagram account @luhut.pandjaitan as seen here on Sunday, he explained that Prince Mohammed bin Salman will join the Sovereign Wealth Fund Indonesia Investment Authority (INA).
"I became more optimistic when I heard that he wanted Saudi Arabia to contribute to the development of Nusantara Capital City, and more importantly, Saudi Arabia will join the Sovereign Wealth Fund Indonesia (INA)," he said.
According to Pandjaitan, he took the initiative to form a unified team that will leave for Riyadh next week to follow up on the commitment.
He detailed, the Indonesian government intends to immediately plan for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to visit Indonesia before the month of Ramadan.
"I took the initiative to form an integrated team that will depart for Riyadh next week, to follow up all of our talks today, so that we can directly prepare a visit by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to Indonesia before Ramadan," he said.
In his post, Pandjaitan also recounted his experience of being hosted warmly by Prince Mohammed bin Salman. He was invited to a dinner in the Royal Palace's courtyard along with senior cabinet members of Saudi Arabia.
Pandjaitan also said that he has known the Prince for the past two years and was quite intense in communicating even only through Whatsapp messages.
"Another mystery of life for me because according to the Indonesian Ambassador, Prince Mohammed bin Salman very rarely receives guests from overseas, except guests from neighboring Gulf countries," he wrote.
Furthermore, he also showed a gift he received from the Prince. The gift is kiswah or a piece of Kaaba cloth and a Kaaba key replica.
"Trust must be placed before everything. Our background of religion, race, and ethnicity is not an issue, as long as we have the same interest that prioritizes the humanity and welfare of all nations to make the world a better place for our grandchildren in the future," Pandjaitan concluded.
