Jakarta (ANTARA) - Some 6,492 accommodation rooms in West Nusa Tenggara are still available for tourists arriving in the region to spectate Pertamina Grand Prix of Indonesia at Mandalika Circuit, Tourism and Creative Economy Minister Sandiaga Uno stated.

Uno affirmed that the government and all stakeholders are working to ready various facilities for the race, such as accommodation, transportation, and food.

"Those are essential to ensure that the facilities could cater to the tourists' demand during the event and to open new job and business opportunities for the locals," Uno noted in his statement here on Wednesday.

The minister made assurance that the authority will continue to address issues pertaining to accommodation and transportation during the event.

"For tourists who are worried that they will not get any room or transportation, we have continued our progress (to address the issue) and will be ready for implementation," he remarked.

Some accommodation types available for tourists in West Nusa Tenggara are villas, bungalows, homestays, flats, and tents at camping grounds, he remarked, adding that the accommodation price will depend on the preferred type.

"The price has been regulated in West Nusa Tenggara Governor Regulation No. 9 of 2022 on the upper and lower limit of the accommodation room price," Uno noted.

Meanwhile, the ministry's deputy of destination and infrastructure development, Vinsensius Jemadu, remarked that there were some 300 homestays with the Cleanliness, Health, Safety, and Environment Sustainability (CHSE) certification.

Moreover, the ministry's deputy of digital economy and creative product, Niel El Himam, stated that the authority had dispatched food trucks to cater to the demands for food and promote the national cuisine during the MotoGP championship event.

"We have collaborated with the Bango brand to bring around 30 micro, small, and middle-scale food enterprises from all parts of Indonesia (for the event), with most invited enterprises originating in Lombok. We also collaborate with Gojek for the Gopay payment method and Unilever for the Bango Food Festival," Himam remarked.
