I invite all stakeholders to participate and contribute to the activity
Jakarta (ANTARA) - Communication and Informatics (Kominfo) Minister Johnny G. Plate affirmed that his ministry will invite digital ministers from all G20 member countries to attend the Digital Economy Ministerial Meeting (DEMM) in Bali on September 1-2.

"During the meeting, as Kominfo Minister, I will lead to reach the digital ministerial-level agreement concerning the negotiation result from the previous senior officials' level DEWG (Digital Economic Working Group) event," he noted.

Through a press statement on Tuesday, Plate remarked that the meeting will produce the Ministers Declaration that will encourage the implementation of international collaborations and policies in the digital economy sector.

Meanwhile, the entirety of the working group and engagement group events will lead to the Leaders Meeting to be led by President Joko Widodo on November 15-26.

Along with the Leaders Meeting, the Kominfo ministry will hold the Digital Transformation Expo (DTE) as a showcase of Indonesia's digital transformation journey to the world, Plate remarked.

"I invite all stakeholders to participate and contribute to the activity," he remarked during the "Kick Off Meeting DEWG G20 2022" press conference here on Tuesday.

The ministry also received the mandate to guide the alignment of various digital transformation issues across working groups and engagement groups during Indonesia's G20 Presidency, he remarked.

"We involve Indonesia's knowledge partners, strategic stakeholders, and various other partners to enrich, sharpen, and prepare the entirety of the Digital Economy Working Group sessions," the minister noted.

This month, two activities within the DEWG agenda are the internal workshop on March 8 and "Kick Off Meeting" on Tuesday.

In addition, an upcoming event -- the first Digital Economic Working Group Meetings -- will be held virtually on March 29-30.

The second DEWG meetings will be held on May 17-18 in Yogyakarta, while the third meeting will be held on July 20-21 in Labuan Bajo, East Nusa Tenggara.

The fourth meeting will be held on July 22 in Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara, while the Ministerial-Level Meeting is scheduled on August 29-30 in Bali.
