Hopefully, face-to-face learning will be implemented at 100 percent capacity in the near future because the Ministry of Education and Culture is currently preparing the concept
Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Jakarta Education Office is still waiting for a policy from the central government regarding face-to-face learning at 100-percent capacity following the lowering of Jakarta's public activity restrictions (PPKM) level to Level 2.

"Hopefully, face-to-face learning will be implemented at 100 percent capacity in the near future because the Ministry of Education and Culture is currently preparing the concept," Head of the public relations sub-division of the Jakarta Education Office Taga Radja Gah said here on Tuesday.

Later, if there is a regulation from the central government, the Jakarta Education Office will issue a derivative regulation on the implementation of face-to-face learning at full capacity, he added.

Since there has been no new regulation, the office is still implementing limited face-to-face learning at 50 percent capacity in schools, he informed.

"It (the capacity) is still 50 percent because it is still exam period. So, junior high schools, vocational schools are currently holding school exams, elementary schools are holding practical exams," he said.

Earlier, Jakarta Deputy Governor Ahmad Riza Patria also affirmed that the regulation on 100 percent face-to-face learning will be issued as soon as the central government regulation is issued.

Based on the Instruction of the Minister of Home Affairs (Inmendagri) Number 18 of 2022, Jakarta's PPKM level is currently on Level 2.

According to the instruction, learning can be held face-to-face at limited capacity or through remote mode, as per the Joint Decree (SKB) of the four ministers, namely the Minister of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology, the Minister of Religious Affairs, the Minister of Health, and the Minister of Home Affairs.

As per the instruction, limited face-to-face learning can be implemented at 50-percent capacity in educational units located in areas implementing Level 2 PPKM.
