"We are proud that Indonesia has successfully handled the COVID-19 pandemic compared to other countries. It is all based on our togetherness," he remarked while speaking at the second anniversary commemoration of the operationalization of the COVID-19 Emergency Hospital (RSDC) Wisma Atlet Kemayoran, Jakarta, on Wednesday.
He expressed his appreciation of health workers at the forefront of handling the COVID-19 pandemic.
He also thanked the TNI, National Police (Polri), regional governments, the private sector, volunteers, and all levels of society who have worked together to overcome the COVID-19 pandemic.
Public compliance in implementing government policies, such as the large-scale social restriction (PSBB) policy, which was followed by the policy of community activity restrictions (PPKM), has helped the government in controlling the spread of COVID-19 in Indonesia.
"Tracing, screening, and also all efforts to protect ourselves and others during this pandemic also help to curb the spread of COVID-19," Budiman, who also served as the coordinator of RSDC Wisma Atlet, added.

He said he hopes that the second anniversary of the operationalization of RSDC Wisma Atlet Kemayoran can prompt health workers to work harder.
"Also innovating to end the COVID-19 problems faced by the country," he added.
RSDC Wisma Atlet Kemayoran started to operate as a COVID-19 Emergency Hospital on March 23, 2020. So far, the hospital has treated 162,966 COVID-19 patients.
"We hope the pandemic will end soon so we do not have to celebrate the third anniversary of this emergency hospital," Budiman remarked.
