"This creative hub is a breakthrough for our national revival as it opens business and jobs opportunities. Together with President Jokowi (Joko Widodo), we are organizing a new economic order post-pandemic and we must rise immediately," Uno said here on Wednesday.
The Creative Hub is a place for creativity in the form of physical infrastructure for creative economy players to develop their ideas, businesses, networks, as well as organize and strengthen relationships between creative economy communities.
The Samosir Creative Hub construction has received support from the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy, through the government assistance mechanism, in the form of coffee processing equipment facilities, technological facilities, and audiovisual systems.
The construction of Creative Hub Samosir began in June 2021 and was completed in January 2022. The building has an overall area of one thousand square meters and a building area of 460 sq.m.
The first floor of the building—which is equipped with a processing room, taste test laboratory, a packaging room, a supply room, and a cafe to sell local products—will be used for coffee processing activities.

The second floor houses a multifunctional classroom, a co-working space, and a meeting room that can be used for training, workshops, and discussions.
Uno said that the launch of Creative Hub Samosir with the "Horas Samosir Fiesta” event as a form of synergy between institutions and stakeholders to advance Samosir as a super-priority tourism destination.
"The launch of Horas Samosir Fiesta is expected to arise the spirit of creative economy players in Samosir. Initiating events can wake up the economy," he added.
