Suhoor is a pre-dawn meal consumed by Muslims before fasting during the Islamic fasting month of Ramadan.
"If you want to share (food for suhoor), please share in places that really need it, such as orphanages, places of worship, or in your neighborhood," he added.
SOTR is risky because it could cause conflict and road accidents, he said. He also asked all ranks of the Bogor city government, together with elements of the sub-district leadership deliberation (Muspika), to disseminate information on the ban among the people of Bogor City.
Bogor City Police Chief Senior Commissioner Susatyo Purnomo Condro also appealed to people looking to share food during the month of Ramadan to give them to mosques or musallas (prayer rooms) and advised them against handing out food directly on the sidewalks.
Bogor City Police is collaborating with the Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI) and the Indonesian Mosque Council (DMI) to carry out socialization and manage people who want to share iftar and suhoor food.

"We, the Bogor city government, the police, and the Indonesian Military (TNI), in a bid to maintain the sanctity of the month of Ramadan, are committed to ensuring the community can carry out worship peacefully," Condro remarked.
He affirmed that the police have asked various Islamic mass organizations (ormas) to jointly maintain and respect the implementation of worship activities during Ramadan.
The Bogor City Police have prepared eight security posts to anticipate the potential of street brawls and traffic congestion before the iftar period.
"If there are indications or potential for crime or security disturbances, please report them to the police or the public order agency (Satpol PP); we will definitely take action," he asserted.
