According to the task force, the number of booster recipients in the province has reached 1,635,382 out of the 3,007,891 targeted recipients.
"The booster vaccination coverage has even surpassed 60 percent in three out of the nine districts and cities in Bali, namely, Denpasar City, Badung District, and Tabanan District," secretary of the task force, I Made Rentin, informed here on Wednesday.
Specifically, the booster vaccination coverage has reached 69.73 percent in Denpasar City, 61.76 percent in Badung District, and 61.46 percent in Tabanan District.
He attributed the high booster vaccination rate in the province to the collaboration and support from all parties.
"In addition, it was also due to the strong leadership of the Bali Governor as the head of the COVID-19 Handling Task Force of Bali province who directly led the acceleration of booster vaccinations," he said.

Rentin, who is also serving as the acting head of the Regional Disaster Mitigation Agency (BPBD) of Bali Province, also revealed that Bali's booster dose coverage had earlier successfully reached 30 percent in seven days.
The 30-percent booster vaccination target was related to the trial reopening of Bali for foreign travelers without the quarantine requirement.
Earlier, Bali's booster vaccination coverage was targeted to reach 50 percent by the end of March 2022.
Rentin expressed gratitude to various parties who had supported the booster vaccinations in Bali so that it could surpass 50 percent coverage on March 29, 2022.
