The two policies regulate some additional provisions in welcoming a healthy and safe exodus
Jakarta (ANTARA) - The government revised foreign and domestic travel policies before the 2022 Eid exodus by adding arrival gates and changing testing provisions for 6-17-year-olds, the COVID-19 handling task force stated.

"The two policies regulate some additional provisions in welcoming a healthy and safe exodus," the COVID-19 handling task force spokesperson, Wiku Adisasmito, noted here on Wednesday.

According to the task force's Circular No. 17 on Provisions for Foreign Travelers, the additional arrival gate at the country is the Tarempa Port in Anambas Islands, Riau Islands.

The Tarempa Port will help the existing ports: Tanjung Benoa in Bali, Batam in Riau Islands, Tanjung Pinang in Riau Islands, Bintan in Riau Islands, Nunukan in North Kalimantan, Tanjung Balai Karimun in Riau Islands, and Dumai in Riau Province.

For domestic travel, the task force has changed the COVID-19 testing provisions for those in the age group of six to 17 years, who have been fully vaccinated, to not have to show a negative result of testing. However, those who are not fully vaccinated must show a test result of an RT-PCR that is taken 3x24 hours.

He also highlighted that the Home Affairs Ministry had released an instruction to lengthen the period of public activities restrictions (PPKM) in Java and Bali islands until May 9, 2022.

Before they depart, they need to bring a negative rapid test antigen result taken 24 hours prior or a negative RT-PCR result taken 48 hours before departure.
