"In order to support the implementation of the 2022 homecoming exodus so that it is safe and healthy, the Ministry of Communication and Informatics plays a role in ensuring that information on policies and health protocols during the exodus is conveyed to the public in an integrated manner," the ministry's director general of public information and communication, Usman Kansong, said at the virtual launch of the e-book.
The e-book has been prepared under a collaboration between the Ministry of Communication and Informatics, the Ministry of Transportation, the COVID-19 Handling Task Force, the Ministry of Religious Affairs, and the Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI).
The free guidebook can be downloaded or read online using the official link provided by the ministry: linktr.ee/mudik2022.
The guidebook lists the conditions and rules for the Eid exodus, such as the necessary documentation, instructions on filling out the e-HAC, and guidelines for entry into Indonesia for people coming from abroad.
In addition, the guidebook contains several important telephone numbers that homecomers can contact related to the Eid exodus.
The 66-page e-book also contains information on traffic engineering plans for the Eid holiday period, including the odd-even traffic rule, one-way traffic plan, and the free Eid homecoming exodus program offered by the government.
The government has continued to remind the people to implement the health protocols during the homecoming period.
"This health protocol is essential because we are still in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic," Kansong stressed.
The Ministry of Communication and Informatics will update the book if there are changes in the policies related to the Eid exodus in order to keep people apprised of the latest policies.
