"Regional representatives may determine the success or failure of the BKKBN's achievements. Their duties cannot be ignored since they represent the handling of stunting cases in the area," Wardoyo said in a written statement received here on Tuesday.
Every regional representative has an important role in achieving the targets that have been set by BKKBN, he added.
Wardoyo also spoke about several areas facing challenges in accelerating stunting reduction such as Riau Islands and East Kalimantan. However, Riau Islands has succeeded in reducing stunting prevalence through its efforts and innovations.
"The new task of succeeding the stunting absorption budget becomes very challenging for regional representatives, let alone new assignments. The old task of Family Planning Operational Assistance (BOKB) also requires seriousness and cannot be underestimated," Wardoyo said.
He also informed that six high-ranking officials have been inaugurated at BKKBN: Sunarto as head of BKKBN representatives for East Kalimantan province, Rohina as head of BKKBN representatives for Riau Islands, I Made Yudhistira as director of field movement development, Fajar Firdawati as director of development in special regions, Soetriningsih as head of finance and management at BMN, and Wahyuniati as regional inspector III.
Wardoyo said he hoped that the six newly inaugurated officials would work and provide the best service to the community, especially to Indonesian families.
“The newly inaugurated officers have a very strategic and important task. Once again, I congratulate you and we will see your performance," he added.
