Green Proper is part of the government's attempt to encourage companies to comply with environmental management. The award is given by measuring a company's sustainability performance through various initiatives that have been carried out.

Green Proper award is given to a company for more than required compliance with environmental management, while Blue Proper award is given to a company for its minimum compliance with environmental management.

Addressing the conferment ceremony, the governor, who represented the environment and forestry minister, said that corrective steps are one of the nine policies taken by the government for conserving the environment.
