I hope we can run the ministry together for this countryJakarta (ANTARA) - Newly appointed Deputy Minister of Manpower Afriansyah Noor is confident of establishing sound cooperation with Manpower Minister Ida Fauziyah.
"I have to work together with Minister Fauziyah, who comes from the National Awakening Party (PKB). I hope we can run the ministry together for this country," Noor noted at the State Palace, here, Wednesday.
He later stated that President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) did not specifically instruct him to carry out any special task.
"The president did not yet give a specific target. He asked to help with the ministerial tasks," Noor stated.
He later spoke of the communication between President Jokowi and Chairman of the Crescent Star Party (PBB), Yusril Ihza Mahendra.
"President Jokowi contacted Mister Mahendra last night. Later on, Mister Mahendra called me and appointed me to represent the party for the deputy minister's position at the Manpower Ministry," Noor explained.

On Wednesday, Jokowi inaugurated two new ministers and three deputy ministers at the State Palace.
The inauguration was based on Presidential Decree Number 64/P of 2022 concerning the Dismissal and Appointment of State Ministers for the Advanced Indonesian Cabinet for the 2019-2024 period.
The two ministers that were appointed were Zulkifli Hasan as Minister of Trade, replacing Muhammad Lutfi, and Hadi Tjahjanto, as Minister of Agrarian and Spatial Planning/Head of the National Land Agency (ATR/BPN), replacing Sofyan Djalil.

The head of state also appointed three deputy ministers based on Presidential Decree Number 24/M of 2022 concerning the Dismissal and Appointment of Deputy State Ministers of the Advanced Indonesian Cabinet for the 2019-2024 period.
The three deputy ministers were Raja Juli Antoni as Deputy Minister of ATR/BPN, replacing Surya Tjandra; John Wempi Watipo, who earlier served as Deputy Minister of Public Works and Public Housing, as Deputy Minister of Home Affairs, and Afriansyah Noor as Deputy Minister of Manpower.
