Batam, Riau Islands (ANTARA) - Indonesian Ambassador to Singapore Suryo Pratomo encouraged all parties to work together to ensure the success of Indonesia's G20 Presidency in 2022.

The ambassador called for cooperation to make Indonesia's G20 Presidency a success during the Indonesia-Singapore Business Forum themed, "Rising Stronger Together" in Singapore on Tuesday, the Indonesian Embassy in Singapore noted in a written statement on Tuesday night.

The promotion of Indonesia's G20 Presidency in Singapore holds significance since the city state is a hub for the representative offices of global companies, he remarked.

He further accentuated the importance of cooperation among various parties to address the current challenges in the aftermath of the COVID-19 pandemic, including fostering bilateral relations between Indonesia and Singapore that date back 55 years.

Singapore plays an important role as a gateway for foreign investment to Indonesia.

In an effort to recover from the COVID-19 pandemic, Indonesia and Singapore need joint businesses and close support from business agents, he affirmed.

"I believe that business agents can further get involved in various collaborations with the government to find the best strategy to create sustainable, strong, and inclusive recovery in the fields of global health architecture, digital transformation, and energy transition," he stated.

On the occasion, the ambassador also encouraged business agents in all sectors, including manufacturing and infrastructure, to invest in Indonesia.

"Indonesia is your investment destination," he remarked.
