Let us call on the family, anyone in our environment, to (get it)Jakarta (ANTARA) - Deputy Governor of Jakarta Ahmad Riza Patria has urged people to strictly follow health protocols, as the central government has increased the restriction level in the capital city due to a spike in COVID-19 cases.
Patria also reminded those who had yet to receive their third dose of vaccination to immediately obtain it from the nearest medical facilities or vaccination booths, as a means to stem the spread of coronavirus.
"Let us immediately get the third dose of vaccination or booster (dose). Let us call on the family, anyone in our environment, to (get it)," the deputy governor stated at the Regional House of Representatives building on Tuesday.
According to the Jakarta Government's data, some 4.09 million people in Jakarta had received their booster dose as per Monday, July 4.
Moreover, 12.55 million people -- or 124.6 percent of the initial target, being 10 million people -- had received their first vaccination dose. As for the second dose, 10.7 million people, or 106.5 percent of the target, had received it.

The central government changed the status of community activities restrictions in Jakarta to level two. Due to a change in that status, the mall capacity, which was earlier capped at 100 percent, decreased to 75 percent.
The decision was made after COVID-19 cases recorded some increase.
The newest policy was stipulated in the Home Affairs Ministry's Instruction Number 33 of 2022 on community activities restriction. The instruction took effect from July 5 to August 1, 2022, in Jakarta, Tuesday.
The instruction aimed at renewing the previous Instruction Number 29 of 2022, which ended as of July 4, 2022.
Malls may operate until 10 p.m. local time, according to the instruction.
Corporations of non-essential sectors must adopt both work-from-home and work-from-office methods again, with the former set at 25-percent capacity and the latter at 75-percent capacity.

Restaurants and street vendors were also limited to accept only 75 percent of their customers' capacity.
Restaurants or cafes, which are open late, -- from 6 p.m. to 2 a.m. local time -- must also follow the same rules.
The same policy applies to public places, such as cinemas, worship places, parks, tourism places, activity clubs, and gyms, all of which were allowed at only 75-percent of their customers' capacity.
However, there is an exception for the means of public transportation wherein they may utilize up to 100 percent of the passengers' capacity.
