"National Children's Day reminds us of the importance of parents paying attention to children's growth and development," he said when contacted here on Sunday.
Mulyadi explained that parents need to make sure whether their children have grown and developed well, according to their stages of age.
"In addition, parents also need to introspect whether they have given enough time to accompany their children because children have the right to get guidance and enough time to interact with their parents," he explained.
Optimal interaction between parents and children, he said, will support children's growth and development.
"Thus, children will grow and develop well, with their parents' care and affection," he stated.
The LPAI chairman added that the commemoration of National Children's Day is also a reminder to all parties that children need to be valued, and their rights of protection and to develop, need to be fulfilled.
"All parties in question are parents, educators, the community, to the government; All of them need to play an active role in efforts to fulfill the right of children to be valued, to grow and develop well, and to get protection," he pointed out.
The National Children's Day commemoration is expected to increase public awareness and understanding of the importance of fulfilling children's rights, Mulyadi remarked.
"This is very important because children are the nation's next generation who will later continue building the country," he said.
Furthermore, he revealed, in the endeavors of growing children to become a quality generation, they need to receive good parenting, good nutrition, and good character education.
