We want to help them up until the last option; if there is an issue from the system, or network issue during the output, just give the manual items
Jakarta (ANTARA) - The government has set Wednesday as the deadline for private electronic system providers to register on the Online Single Submission’s (OSS’) official site, oss.go.id, as well as layanan.kominfo.go.id.

Director general of informatics application at the Communication and Information Technology Ministry, Semuel Abrijani Pangerapan, assured that applicants would be guided by the technical team, but afterward, they are expected to register on the OSS without delay.

"We want to help them up until the last option. If there is an issue from the system, or network issue during the output, just give the manual items. However, afterward, (they must) follow by doing the official registration through the OSS," Pangerapan said in a press release issued on Wednesday.

The governance of private electronic system providers is stipulated in Government Regulation Number 71 of 2019 about system provision and electronic transactions, as well as Communication and Information Technology Ministry’s Regulation Number 10 of 2021 about changes in the ministry's regulation Number 5 of 2020 about private electronic system providers, he added.

According to the two regulations, there are six categories of private electronic system providers who are required to register on the OSS. The first category covers those who provide, manage, or operate goods and/or services trade.

The second category covers providers who offer, manage, or operate financial transaction services. The third category covers providers who send paid digital content through networks, either through portals, e-mails, or applications.

The fourth category covers providers who offer, manage, or operate communication services, including, but not limited to, instant messaging, voice calling, video calling, e-mail, and conversations within networks, in the form of digital network services and social media.

The fifth category covers providers offering search engine services, electronic information in the form of text, images, voice, videos, animation, music, film, and games, or a combination of them.

The sixth category covers providers processing private data for operational activities, assisting people in electronic transaction activities.

Prior to registration, private electronic system providers will be required complete their Single Business Number paperwork and obtain a permit for operational or commercial activities via the OSS, which is managed by the Investment Coordinating Board.

According to the ministry's site, private electronic system providers who complete the first requirement will receive a username, password, and link, which they can use to log in on layanan.kominfo.go.id.

Once logged in, they can check the data on the form page. Information can only be changed on the OSS page.

The applicants will be required to provide the required information, make sure it is correct, and click send, following which they will receive a confirmation e-mail on the request for registration.

The e-mail will ask them to click on a link to verify their application and continue with the registration process. Afterward, they can check the status of their request.

After registering, the status will mostly show a “Waiting for signature” message, meaning that the request is being signed electronically. After one working day, the status will change to “done,” which would mean that the registration process has been completed.

Once everything is done, applicants will be able to download the proof of registration.

The ministry has set Wednesday (July 20) as the registration deadline for private electronic system providers. Starting July 21, the ministry will issue a written warning to those who fail to register by the deadline.
