I demand no hesitation at all. If a TNI officer is involved (in the case), reveal it, do not hesitate
Jakarta (ANTARA) - Indonesian National Defence Forces (TNI) Commander General Andika Perkasa called on military officers to not hesitate in taking legal action against officers found violating laws, including those proven to have committed bullying.

"I demand no hesitation at all. If a TNI officer is involved (in the case), reveal it, do not hesitate," Perkasa stated in a video broadcast by the Jenderal TNI Andika Perkasa YouTube channel observed here, Friday.

The TNI commander's remarks were made during a routine meeting with TNI's internal legal team.

During the meeting, the general said he will continue to monitor ongoing legal processes in the military institution.

Perkasa also heard TNI Prosecuting Attorney General Rear Marshal Reki Irene Lumme's explanation about ongoing legal processes within the TNI institution.

He then highlighted transparency issues in legal cases involving military officers while drawing attention to an ongoing investigation of the bullying case perpetrated by military officers that caused the victim's death.

"The legal process (on the case) has begun, and please note that this is one of my concerns. All articles relevant (to the violation) must be imposed," the general remarked.

The general instructed military officers, especially the military prosecutor of the military court, to be scrupulous in all aspects while conducting a legal process.

Military prosecutors must also ensure that all articles relevant to the violation be imposed on the prosecution to ensure that the violator gets maximum sentence, he noted.

"Do not miss out on all relevant articles (on the case). There is a casualty (with regard to this case), so we must be serious," Perkasa stated.

The general also warned that officers found violating the law would have their status as TNI officers revoked.
