This JIF is an extraordinary forum...
Jakarta (ANTARA) - Bank Indonesia (BI) is promoting investment projects in Jakarta through its five overseas representative offices in Singapore, London, Tokyo, Beijing, and New York to boost foreign investment in the province.

“(The aim is) To promote strategic projects in the DKI Jakarta province, in particular, and Indonesia (in general)," head of BI’s Jakarta Provincial Representative Office, Onny Widjanarko, said at the opening of the 2022 Jakarta Investment Forum (JIF) here on Thursday.

At the event, the Jakarta provincial government presented 15 green investment projects, which will be developed by seven regional-owned enterprises (BUMDs).

Widjanarko said he believes that the projects will attract foreign investors since currently, such projects are not only increasing in number, but also becoming a trend.

In addition, the central bank is optimistic that the projects can attract investors since rating institution Fitch Ratings has assigned an "outlook stable" rating or “BBB” to Indonesia.
