The increase in southern voice representation is very important to ensure that the global narrative that is being formed is considered fair and acceptable by all governments from all types of countriesNusa Dua, Bali (ANTARA) - The representation of developing countries in the G20 that were mostly located in the southern hemisphere should continue to be increased, Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto stated.
"The increase in southern voice representation is very important to ensure that the global narrative that is being formed is considered fair and acceptable by all governments from all types of countries," he remarked during the plenary session of the T20 Indonesia Summit in here on Monday.
Think 20, or T20, is a forum for cooperation between think tanks and researchers of all G20 member countries. The Group of 20, or G20, is a multilateral cooperation group comprising 19 countries and the European Union (EU).

Hartarto said global issues, such as the COVID-19 pandemic, climate change, and digital transformation occurred at a scale that necessitated collective handling, with commitment from governments of all countries and stakeholders.
As a group involved in the G20 Indonesia Presidency comprising researchers and academics, T20 Indonesia is in a strategic position, with two main roles to ensure the independence of each country's government and the implementation of inclusive policies.
“The T20 can provide valuable insights into what agenda the global leaders should focus on. The T20 has an important position to ensure that the issues that the G20 leaders want to solve are related to the focus of these problems," he stated.

The T20 also serves as an anchor to ensure an inclusive and unbiased discussion of priority issues through the nine task forces established under the G20.
Formation of the task force allows critical issues to be discussed not solely limited to the host country or in the event of the Indonesian G20 Presidency.
The issues discussed do not only concern Indonesia, he stated.
“Inclusivity is more important than ever, as the COVID-19 pandemic has created widening inequality across countries. It is within the power of the T20 to ensure that its research agenda and formulation represent developed and developing countries equally," he remarked.

Secretary General at the Indonesian Health Ministry Kunta Wibawa Dasa Nugraha earlier sought active involvement of experts and researchers within the Think 20 (T20) to expand Universal Health Coverage (UHC).
The people should have access to quality treatment services that they need regardless of their economic conditions, Nugraha noted during an event streamed on T20 Indonesia's YouTube channel on Wednesday.
During the Task Force 6: Putting People at The Center of the Health System Forum, he noted that implementation of the UHC is a solution to handle the health service gap for global citizens.
The topic concerning UHC is entering the intensive discussion stage at the G20 Forum.
Indonesia provides UHC support through the implementation of National Health Insurance (JKN) as an effort to provide comprehensive and just quality health insurance to the people.
JKN ensures that everyone can access quality health service without experiencing financial difficulties, Nugraha stated.
One of the challenges in implementing JKN in Indonesia is the fulfillment of human resources.
To support effective health system security, the Indonesian health minister has established six pillars of health system transformation.
These six pillars comprise primary service transformation, secondary service transformation, health service system transformation, health financing system transformation, health human resources transformation, and health technology transformation.
