By saying Bismillahirrahmannirrahiim (In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful), I declare that the 2022 Indonesian SDGs Corporate Summit is officially opened.Jakarta (ANTARA) - Vice President Ma'ruf Amin called to optimize implementation of the Indonesian Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) Corporate Summit (ISCOS) 2022 to support Indonesia's G20 Presidency and strategic agenda to achieve the SDGs targets.
Amin made the statement in his virtual remarks at the ISCOS 2022, which was initiated by the Corporate Forum for Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Development (CFCD), on Tuesday.
"By saying Bismillahirrahmannirrahiim (In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful), I declare that the 2022 Indonesian SDGs Corporate Summit is officially opened," he remarked.

The CFCD aims to increase corporate awareness and commitment in conducting its CSR activities as well as to disseminate information on the implementation of Presidential Regulation Number 59 of 2017 on Achieving Sustainable Development Targets.
The vice president urged participants of the ISCOS 2022 to share knowledge, experiences, good practices, partnerships, and innovations to realize the SDGs targets.
The event should serve as a medium of education and an information dissemination forum to accommodate all parties to actively voice their concerns and strive together to achieve Indonesia's SDGs targets, he affirmed.
Amin stated that the enterprises should ensure that they refer to global standards in implementing their CSR activities.
The activities must aim to encourage inclusive and environment-friendly economic development as well as to increase the use of renewable energy in rural communities, Amin emphasized.

Furthermore, he called on the participants of ISCOS 2022 to develop ideas and breakthroughs to overcome the needs for financing in realizing the SDGs.
Hence, all parties are encouraged to provide innovative ideas on funding instruments, investment collaboration, as well as mobilization of financing from the state budget, private sector, philanthropists, and the community.
The vice president noted that the implementation of ISCOS 2022 reflects the importance of the contribution and collaboration of various parties -- including the government, business players, professional institutions, academics and researchers, as well as community -- in achieving the SDGs targets.
Furthermore, he lauded the role of the CFCD in encouraging the implementation of responsible and sustainable business leadership in Indonesia.
The vice president also lauded various corporations that have been committed to their respective CSR programs to assist the government in achieving the SDGs targets.
