Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK), Thursday, questioned member of the Jakarta Legislative Council M. Taufik as a witness in the alleged case of corruption related to the procurement of land in Pulo Gebang, East Jakarta.

In addition, the KPK questioned former president director of Perumda Pembangunan Sarana Jaya (SJ) Yoory Corneles as a witness in the alleged graft case, KPK spokesman Ali Fikri stated on Thursday.

Perumda Pembangunan Sarana Jaya is the company that procured the land during the 2018-2019 period.

Fikri remarked that the KPK was in the process of collecting evidence of the alleged graft case.

The KPK has named suspects in the case. However, it has not announced the names of the suspects.

The anti-graft body will make public the names of the suspects after the investigation is completed.

"Only after (the investigation) is considered sufficient will the KPK undoubtedly announce the complete results of the investigation into the case, including those named suspects," he remarked.

The KPK has summoned 22 employees of the National Land Agency (BPN), regional government-owned company (BUMD), and the notary public.

The commission pledged to make public all developments pertaining to the case. In addition, it hoped for the public's support for the case until justice is achieved.
