This target is deemed achievable, given the fact that the result of PNBP in the earlier periods were recorded to continue to increase, Plate noted at a work meeting here on Wednesday.
"Year to year, the ministry's PNBP continues to increase that is caused by the result of extensification in the form of frequency spectrum auction and PNBP intensification, he explained.
One of the factors in PNBP's rise comes from radio frequency spectrum management and auction that becomes more effective from year to year, thereby making it a service that provides the largest contribution.
The upward trend started to be recorded from 2018. The PNBP realization from the ministry during that period stood at Rp21.3 trillion, Plate stated at a work meeting with the House of Representatives' (DPR's) Commission I.
Thereafter, in 2021, the PNBP figure reached Rp25.4 trillion, an increase of Rp4.1 trillion within a period of three years.
While the PNBP is estimated to be smaller in 2022, at Rp24.7 trillion, Plate believes that the figure can potentially increase, given the possibility of a new frequency auction this year.
Plate is confident of his ministry clocking a PNBP figure worth Rp25.7 trillion in 2023.
Extensification and intensification of PNBP is still the method for the ministry to achieve that target, he remarked.
During the work meeting, Plate also highlighted that budget realization in his ministry increases from year to year during the 2018-2022 period.
The minister attributed this success to effective and accurate management.
