Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Attorney General's Office (AGO) and the Trade Ministry signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) for preventing corruption in the trade sector through legal assistance provided by the prosecutor's office.

"The essence (of the MoU) is synergy and collaboration between the Attorney General's Office and the Trade Ministry, especially after the 'earthquake' (crude palm oil (CPO) corruption case). I will try to fix the existing (problems), do not let them repeat," Attorney General Sanitiar Burhanuddin stated here after signing the agreement on Friday.

According to Burhanuddin, cooperation between his side and the Trade Ministry includes exchanging data and information, securing strategic development in the field of trade, providing legal assistance, legal considerations, and other legal actions related to civil codes and administrative laws.
