Today, we received 2,406,915 pieces of data from the Workers Social Security Agency (BPJS Ketenagakerjaan), and same as during the first phase, we will screen the data to exclude civil servants or military or police officers
Jakarta (ANTARA) - The government is finalizing the data of wage subsidy assistance (BSU) recipients for the second disbursal phase by verifying the recipient data with other social assistance data, Manpower Minister Ida Fauziyah stated.

"Today, we received 2,406,915 pieces of data from the Workers Social Security Agency (BPJS Ketenagakerjaan), and same as during the first phase, we will screen the data to exclude civil servants or military or police officers," Fauziyah remarked at a press conference with President Joko Widodo at the Merdeka Palace here, Friday.

The minister affirmed that if the data verification process is smooth, then the wage subsidy can be disbursed next week.

"As usual, next week, after the data verification and validation, we will disburse (the subsidy)," she remarked.

The minister highlighted the need to revalidate the data to ensure recipients of the wage subsidy will not overlap with other government social assistance schemes, such as the Pre-employment Card, Hope Family Programme (PKH) and Micro-business Productive Presidential Assistance (Banpres).

Recipients of the wage subsidy will receive Rp600 thousand in one lump sum, she noted.

As of Saturday (September 14), the government has disbursed the first phase of wage subsidy assistance to 4,112,052 out of the total of 4,361,792 recipients. Fauziyah said that subsidy disbursal of another 249,740 recipients was delayed, as they did not have bank accounts.

To address the issue, the government has offered two options of either opening a bank account for them or distributing the subsidy through the national postal company PT Pos Indonesia, she affirmed.

Meanwhile, President Joko Widodo instructed Fauziyah and Social Affairs Minister Tri Rismaharini to ensure easy, prompt, and accurate distribution of wage subsidies and direct cash fuel subsidies.

The president also spoke of having observed the distribution of direct cash fuel subsidies to residents in various regions, such as Papua, Maluku, and Lampung.

"I see that the (subsidy) distribution is smooth, and I also want the distribution to be easy, prompt, and accurate," he remarked.
