...but also as a means for coordinating the groups targeted for village development intervention (programs), as well as a learning center for data collection cadres in the village.
Jakarta (ANTARA) - The National Population and Family Planning Agency (BKKBN) has developed the House for Population Data and Family Information (Rumah DataKu) as a micro-level population data and information center.

"Through Rumah DataKu, BKKBN can improve the accuracy of stunting assessment data, which will become a benchmark for accelerating stunting prevalence reduction in Indonesia," director of population control planning at BKKBN, Munawar Asikin, said here on Wednesday.

The development of Rumah DataKu is in line with the government's National Priority Project (Pro-PN) to continue systems, information, as well as data strengthening and development, he added.

Rumah DataKu, as a population data center at the micro level, has been built to meet the data and information needs of families regarding the development of sub-districts, villages, as well as Quality Family Villages (Kampung KB).

Furthermore, the data center is expected to bridge the differences in the results of data collection on the number of stunted children, the data from the Indonesian Nutrition Status Study (SSGI), as well as the Electronic App of Community-Based Recording and Reporting on Nutrition (ePPGBM).

This will allow the government to get the latest, valid, and reliable data with a high level of accuracy to carry out the acceleration of stunting prevalence reduction.

"Rumah DataKu can be a center for by-name and by-address data and information about the population at the village level, thus it will be able to provide a database for direct intervention in the stunting (reduction) attempt," the director said.

The agency will continue to validate data on the number of stunted children as well as verify data regarding families at risk of stunting, whose results can be accessed on Rumah DataKu to support the government’s efforts to make the intervention on target, he added.

“I expect that Rumah DataKu, which is also a Pro-PN Project, will not only be a place to collect and process population data on a micro level, but also as a means for coordinating the groups targeted for village development intervention (programs), as well as a learning center for data collection cadres in the village," he said.

Earlier, in addition to the Health Ministry’s SSGI and ePPGBM, national data regarding stunting could also be obtained through the Indonesia Demographic and Health Survey (IDHS), which was conducted by the National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN) along with Statistics Indonesia (BPS) and BKKBN.
