InaRI Expo is not only aimed at promoting BRIN but also for all researchers as well as the research and innovation ecosystem in Indonesia
Jakarta (ANTARA) - Head of the National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN) Laksana Tri Handoko fully supports the 2022 Indonesia Research and Innovation Expo (InaRI) as a space for expression for researchers and innovators throughout Indonesia.

"InaRI Expo is not only aimed at promoting BRIN but also for all researchers as well as the research and innovation ecosystem in Indonesia," he stated while opening the Focus Group Discussion (FGD) and launching the InaRI Expo 2022 here on Thursday.

InaRI is an annual event that aims to be a showcase for the advancement of research and technological innovation in Indonesia, especially those that have succeeded in contributing to the people and country of Indonesia.

He said that InaRI Expo not only exhibited technological innovations by BRIN researchers but also youth scientific works and exhibitions of innovations from abroad.

"We hold events, including various youth scientific work competitions, then there is also a research and innovation event that is also a G20 event related to research and innovation," he stated.

He said that the exhibition is expected to showcase Indonesia's achievements to friendly countries, especially members of the G20.

The G20 is an international forum comprising 19 countries and the European Union that work together to handle major issues. Indonesia is holding the G20 Presidency this year.

Other countries participating in the InaRI Expo 2022 include India, South Africa, and France.

Apart from the research exhibition, the event, which will be held in the Cibinong Science and Technology Area, Bogor District, at the end of October, will also hold seminars, talk shows, and visits to the BRIN laboratory.

"That is why we must involve as many parties as possible, and we hope that this can be held annually, so that more will participate next year, especially those related to our country's research and innovation activities," Handoko stated.
