The treatment cost for Kanjuruhan victims in hospitals is entirely covered by the government, he noted after attending a coordination meeting on the Indonesian football security procedure evaluation and improvement here, Thursday.
"We also started to conduct trauma healing yesterday for victims by deploying health workers, psychologists, and psychiatrists to assist them," he stated during a press conference here, Thursday.
In addition, the ministry will immediately formulate a standard operating procedure (SOP) related to health and medical action in football matches in the stadium to prevent the Kanjuruhan tragedy from recurring, he said.

This action is undertaken as part of the comprehensive evaluation that President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) requested in connection with improving the procedure to secure Indonesian football.

Meanwhile, Youth and Sports Minister Zainudin Amali, who also attended the coordination meeting, stressed that the current meeting did not discuss developments pertaining to the Kanjuruhan tragedy.

This is because handling of the incident was the task of the independent joint fact-finding team (TGIPF) ordered by Jokowi through the Presidential Decree.
In connection with this, the meeting also did not discuss what the National Police has worked on in Kanjuruhan, he stated.
Health Quality Improvement and Population Development at the Coordinating Ministry for Human Development and Culture Agus Suprapto highlighted the need for trauma healing.
He noted here, Tuesday, that trauma healing is necessary for those psychologically experiencing unusual incidents that are traumatic in nature.
