Malang, East Java (ANTARA) - Malang city's Saiful Anwar Regional General Hospital has confirmed the death of one more patient hospitalized in the aftermath of the Kanjuruhan Stadium stampede, bringing the total death toll in the tragedy to 132.

A consultant anaesthesiologist at the hospital's intensive care unit (ICU), Dr. Arie Zainul Fatoni, informed that the victim died at 2:25 p.m. local time (UTC +7) after receiving medical care for her injuries.

"We express our condolences on the passing of Helen Prisela at 2:25 p.m. due to deteriorating oxygenation in her lungs causing chronic respiratory failure," Fatoni said here on Tuesday.

The victim was admitted to the hospital in a critical condition, which further deteriorated due to internal hemorrhage, he informed. The respiratory failure was a complication of the trauma outside her lungs, he added.

"The victim was admitted to the hospital in critical condition, and her condition deteriorated. The victim suffered multiple traumas and internal hemorrhage," Fatoni said.
