Jakarta (ANTARA) - Industry Ministry's Secretary General Dody Widodo affirmed that the supervision of domestic product spending should be supported by an integrated data system to ensure optimal supervision.

"Everything must be supported by a good data integration system, from the planning system to the monitoring system, as this involves a very large amount of money," Widodo stated in Jakarta, Monday.

According to Widodo, the total budget allocation of Rp2,714 trillion for central and regional government expenditures should offer benefits to national development and welfare.

"Imagine if we only get a very small portion and supervision does not run, this will not give benefits to national development," Widodo remarked.

He explained that monitoring the use of domestic products could not solely be conducted by one institution. Based on the mandate in Government Regulation Number 29 of 2018 on Industrial Empowerment, supervision of the use of domestic products had been started since the planning period.

Since the planning phase, procurement officials were required to use domestic products if there are products with a Domestic Content Level (TKDN) and Company Benefit Weight (BMP) value of more than 40 percent.

To support this, the Ministry of Industry facilitates a real-time inventory list of goods at the link tkdn.kemenperin.go.id in the recapitulation tab.

On the site, there is a list of TKDN certified goods and a list of companies as well as their production capacities that have been registered in the National Industrial Information System (SIINas).

"With this real-time data, anyone, both procurement officials and the Domestic Production Utilization Team (P3DN), can monitor the availability of domestic products," Widodo stated.

In addition, the Ministry of Industry is actively interconnecting data with information systems owned by ministries, institutions, regional governments, and State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN), so that the monitoring system can continue by utilizing existing TKDN certificate data.

Several information systems are currently connected to data on the tkdn.kemenperin.go.id website, including the e-Catalog of the Government Goods Service Procurement Policy Institute (LKPP) that has been connected since 2019, Minepedia of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources since 2020, and the Information System for the Plan for the Import of Goods (SI-RB) of Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources since 2020.

Moreover, the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources' Domestic Product Appreciation has been connected since 2021, while the Continuous Professional Development Management Information System (SIMPKB) of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology has been connected since 2021.

Widodo is optimistic of more data related to spending on domestic products from ministries and institutions being connected to the SIINas system of the Ministry of Industry, so that the monitoring system runs optimally.

"The rules already exist. Actually, this needs to open our eyes, so that we realize that shopping with local content will be very beneficial for national development," he remarked.
