This National Capacity Forum is one of the efforts of the oil and gas upstream industry to bolster national industry capability in supporting oil and gas production activities by serving as a showcase for domestic industries to the oil and gas upstreJakarta (ANTARA) - The Upstream Oil and Gas Regulatory Special Task Force (SKK Migas) continues to improve the domestic component level (TKDN) to enhance production capacity and achieve the oil and gas production target in 2030, an agency official stated.
SKK Migas Chairperson Dwi Soetjipto, during the 2022 National Capacity Forum II opening ceremony here, Wednesday, said that the agency was committed to facilitating collaboration between all stakeholders in the national oil and gas upstream industry.
"This National Capacity Forum is one of the efforts of the oil and gas upstream industry to bolster national industry capability in supporting oil and gas production activities by serving as a showcase for domestic industries to the oil and gas upstream industry," Soetjipto stated.
The task force head expressed optimism that the forum would serve as a medium of communication among regional authorities, oil and gas upstream industry actors, and relevant local and national companies to enhance the industry's multiplier effect.

"Through this medium, we facilitate cooperation between industry actors to involve deeper in the national oil and gas upstream industry. This cooperation will certainly enhance the national capacity to catch up with the 2030 production target of one million barrels of oil and 12 billion standard cubic feet of natural gas daily," he expounded.
The government has also emphasized that the oil and gas sector should not only serve as the source for national industrial materials and state revenue but also become a driving force of the national economy, he stated.
Soetjipto then pointed out that the Indonesian Oil and Gas Strategic Plan 4.0 had included efforts to boost national capacity to transform the national oil and gas upstream industry, particularly by revving up the competitiveness of national suppliers.

Until the first half of 2022, the national oil and gas industry's TKDN level had reached 63 percent, surpassing the government's target of 57 percent. Moreover, the industry contributed a total of US$9.7 billion as state revenue, reaching 97.3 percent of the annual revenue target in the 2022 State Budget during the same period.
The 2022 National Capacity Forum II is attended by 28 oil and gas operators, 68 commodity and service supplier companies, and 45 MSMEs selected among thousands of MSMEs under the oil and gas operators' assistance nationwide.
