Do not miss this good opportunity to achieve your dreams, continue to gain achievements, and contribute the best to your family, society, and nation
Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Education, Culture, Research, and Technology Ministry offers the 3rd batch of the international bachelor's degree preparation program under the Onward Indonesia Scholarship (BIM), for which registration is open on October 12-31, 2022.

"We hope the BIM alumni would contribute to Indonesia's development in priority sectors, such as by holding strategic roles in global institutions and leading domestic institutions," the ministry's SecretaryGgeneral, Suharti, remarked here on Wednesday.

The scholarship, supported by the Indonesia Endowment Fund for Education (LPDP), is targeting 11th-grade students at the high school/vocational high school/MA (Madrasah Aliyah)/equivalent levels.

Students, who are finalists and winners in four fields of the competition -- science, research, and information technology; arts, culture, and language; sports and physical health; and vocational skills and entrepreneurship at the national and/or international levels -- are encouraged to try for the scholarship.

The Onward Indonesia Scholarship is the ministry's initiative to increase the number of Indonesian students, who take undergraduate studies at the world's best universities.

According to Asep Sukmayadi, the Acting Head of the National Achievement Center, BIM offers the widest opportunities for outstanding students to achieve quality education at the world's best universities.

"Do not miss this good opportunity to achieve your dreams, continue to gain achievements, and contribute the best to your family, society, and nation," he said.

In the registration process, students must meet the requirements and pass the administrative selection and are required to upload three essays written in English.

The committee will conduct the selections of administration, achievements, substance, and interview until December 2022. Meanwhile, some 107 of the world's best universities have been designated as study destinations for BIM recipients.

One of the scholarship recipients from Batch 1, Rifky Bujana, expressed pride on receiving the scholarship and realizing his dream of studying abroad.

"We do not know what the future holds. Maybe one day we will fail to achieve something, but there must be a time when we receive something much better," he stated.
