We received a great welcome, and all those who doubted (whether Indonesia can host the Games) are now captivated and promised to come to Bali next year.
Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Indonesian National Olympic Committee (NOC) accentuated its readiness to host the 2nd Association of NOC (ANOC) World Beach Games to participants of the XVI ANOC General Assembly on Wednesday in Seoul, South Korea.

Chairperson of the Indonesian NOC Raja Sapta Oktohari delivered a presentation on Indonesia’s preparations for the Games -- scheduled to take place in Bali, Indonesia, on August 5-15, 2023 -- to over 1,500 delegates from 205 NOCs and various world sports organizations at the general assembly.

During the presentation, he showed a video displaying the exoticism of Bali, details about the 2nd ANOC World Beach Games, as well as greetings from Indonesian Vice President Ma'ruf Amin, Tourism and Creative Economy Minister Sandiaga Uno, and State-owned Enterprises Minister Erick Thohir – who also served as the International Olympic Committee (IOC) member.

“The attempt is part of building brand awareness for the 2nd ANOC World Beach Games," he stated.

The Indonesian NOC collaborated with the Youth and Sports Ministry, Tourism and Creative Economy Ministry, as well as Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia (KBRI) in Seoul in conducting the presentation.

"We received a great welcome, and all those who doubted (whether Indonesia can host the Games) are now captivated and promised to come to Bali next year," the Indonesian NOC chairperson affirmed.

He stated that Indonesia was not only ready to implement the international event, but it was also the right place to build the legacy of the Games.

The expert staff for law affairs at the Youth and Sports Ministry, Samsudin, who also attended the ANOC General Assembly, said that his side highly supported the promotions for the implementation of the 2nd ANOC World Beach Games conducted by the Indonesian NOC.

"Hopefully, this (the Games) would help in developing the sports industry in Indonesia and have an economic impact (for the community), especially in Bali Province and throughout Indonesia in general," he added.
