Jakarta (ANTARA) - CEO and President Director of 4848 Group Dadan Pahlawan Irawan and Consul General of Indonesia (KJRI) in Houston Andre Omer Siregar addressed geo-economy and future business at the University of Texas in Arlington.

Siregar attended the presentation titled "Leadership in Unknown World" delivered by President Director of 4848 Group Dadan Irawan Sarpingi, according to a statement from KJRI Houston received here on Saturday.

The presentation was held by the Business Faculty of the University of Texas in Arlington on October 19, 2022.

Event participants include students of the Business Faculty of UT Arlington, staff, community representatives, members of the Indonesian diaspora, and business representatives from Waco, Texas.

During this discussion, Dadan recounted his experiences in running and maintaining his business while facing obstacles during a mass crisis, thereby reminding the audience of the importance of leading and handling situations and conditions.

Irawan stressed on the importance of “riding the wave of geo-economics” for business people, which involves identifying solutions, changing strategies, and finding opportunities in adapting through various economic circumstances.

Experienced in a variety of fields comprising transportation, manufacturing, software applications, financial investments, and logistics, Dadan successfully expanded his enterprise to Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, and the United States.

He then highlighted how his business confronted the financial crisis of 1998, 2018, and post-COVID period, in which the world economy faced rising inflation and several uncertainties.

Irawan emphasized the criticality of innovation and continued cooperation between developed and developing nations.

Active during the discussion, Siregar spotlighted the significance of youths and higher education and making use of their available network.

Siregar said developing and extending their outreach is equally important while reminding the audience that the youth are candidates for future leaders.

In addition to the speech, Irawan explored the opportunity for collaboration between UT Arlington and the University of Indonesia and Binus University in an MBA program and a double degree in international course.

He looks forward to visiting and delivering another speech at Clayton State University in Atlanta on October 24, 2022.
