Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Indonesia Research and Innovation (Inari) Expo 2022 can become a momentum to encourage collaboration for strengthening the research and innovation ecosystem, the National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN) has said.

"BRIN wants to encourage collaboration with various parties to bolster the research and innovation ecosystem to create a digital-based and eco-friendly economy, which optimizes the utilization of Indonesia's natural resources," Head of BRIN Laksana Tri Handoko said in a statement on Wednesday.

The expo is an annual event and serves as a platform for showing appreciation to researchers, innovators, and inventors who have contributed to society, he added.

The Inari Expo 2022, themed “Digital, Blue, and Green Economy: Research and Innovation for Food and Energy Sovereignty,” will be held as a side event of the Indonesian G20 Presidency, he said.
