"BPJAMSOSTEK (BPJS Ketenagakerjaan) continues (to uphold) its commitment to support the government in achieving the BSU distribution target," BPJAMSOSTEK's President Director, Anggoro Eko Cahyo, stated during President Joko Widodo's BSU distribution inspection event in Balikpapan, East Kalimantan, Tuesday.
Based on the Manpower Minister Regulation No. 10 of 2022, one of the criteria to become BSU recipients is becoming an active member of the BPJAMSOSTEK.
Thus, it can be said this program is a form of award from the government to employers that have registered their workers to become BPJAMSOSTEK members, he noted through a statement, Thursday.
Cahyo reminded workers to be cautious of every form of personal data request made on the behest of BPJAMSOSTEK and BSU.
Workers keen to know whether they are eligible to become BSU recipients can access the official channel through the bsu.bpjsketenagakerjaan.go.id.

Beyond additional benefits, such as the BSU, BPJAMSOSTEK member workers will be more productive since they are protected by five worker social security programs.
These programs are capable of providing a sense of security from the risk of workplace accidents and deaths while securing them for prosperous retirement.
BPJAMSOSTEK expect BSU's benefits to be felt by all Indonesian workers, he said.
Moreover as stated by President Joko Widodo (Jokowi), the agency encourages all employers to insure their workers from social and economic risks while routinely reporting the wage amount and fee payment, he remarked.
If there is a follow-up program from the government, such as the BSU, then workers can receive it based on the BPJAMSOSTEK membership data.
While talking to BSU recipients, Jokowi urged all workers to ensure that they are registered as members of BPJAMSOSTEK.
Meanwhile, Head of Jakarta Mangga Dua BPJAMSOSTEK Yudi Amrinal stated that it has become an obligation for all employers or companies to register their employees to the BPJS Ketenagakerjaan Program.
"The goal is not just to fulfill the regulation mandate, but primarily, it is to provide protection and prosperity to workers and as the condition to receive benefit from the government, such as BSU," Amrinal remarked.
