"We will definitely find them, (who are) poor and have no money. For instance, if they are children, I urge to be contacted immediately," Rismaharini stated here on Friday.
The minister affirmed that her side conducts media scanning on a daily basis by using certain keywords to find information on underprivileged people, especially children with severe illnesses.
On Thursday afternoon, at the social rehabilitation center "Abiseka" in Pekanbaru, Riau, she found three chronically ill children: one-year-old Daffa Zufari suffering from hydrocephalus; Jeprizal, a seven-year-old with kidney function disorder; and two-year-old Muhammad Aidil Fikri suffering from a leaky heart.
According to Rismaharini, information about these three children would not have reached the ministry without the help of the person, who uploaded it on cyberspace.
To this end, the minister lauded social media activists, who have disseminated information on people in need, so the ministry can reach out to them and assist them.
"(The ministry provides) a place to live, so they stay here (Abiseka Center) during treatment in Riau. If (they) are in Jakarta, they will live in a center in Jakarta," she remarked.
Meanwhile, House member Achmad lauded Rismaharini's dedication and quick response in dealing with the difficulties experienced by the community, especially children with severe illnesses and disabilities.
From the Indonesian fundraising platform, kitabisa.com, Zufari received Rp74.4 million, Rp59.5 million for Jeprizal, and Rp 63.6 million for Fikri.
Three of them also received assistance from the ministry in the form of nutritional fulfillment, accommodation, and personal hygiene equipment. Jeprizal's parents were given entrepreneurial assistance in the form of fishing equipment.
