This would be the second meeting between the two presidents after President Joko Widodo's visit to China in July this year, Spokesperson for the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affair Zhao Lijian said in Beijing on Friday.
As fellow developing countries, China and Indonesia have great and broad interests in cooperating with each other, he added.
Under the strategic guidance of the two presidents, China and Indonesia have increasingly strengthened a new pattern in their bilateral relations, moved by cooperation in the political, economic, cultural, and maritime fields, he noted.
The China-Indonesia cooperation has set an example for other developing nations, he added.
China expects to be able to continue its cooperation with Indonesia in raising mutual trust and implementing quality development projects within the framework of the Belt and Road scheme, he said.
Lijian stressed that China supports Indonesia's G20 Presidency, which is themed “Recover Together, Recover Stronger.”
China hopes all parties will work to build consensus and promote cooperation to push global economic recovery and implement the Agenda 2030 for sustainable development, he said.
Xi is scheduled to be in Bali from November 14–17, 2022, for the G20 Summit.
From Bali, he will proceed to Bangkok to attend the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Summit from November 17–19.
Xi's visit to Indonesia is the first such visit following the 20th National Congress of China's Communist Party (CCP) in Beijing last October.
The Chinese president last paid a state visit to Indonesia in 2013.
