"Moreover, some ambassadors and representatives of ministries or stakeholders in the halal product assurance sector have confirmed their attendance in the H20 forum," the ministry's BPJPH Head, AqilIrham, stated here, Monday.
The H20 forum will take place under Indonesia's G20 Presidency, with the theme "Global Halal Partnership for a Robust Sustainable Future," he noted.

Vice President Ma'ruf Amin is expected to become the keynote speaker for the forum taking place in Semarang, Central Java, on November 17-19, 2022, he added.
Irham said that the H20 forum is organized to bolster, promote, and develop cooperation in halal product assurance in the global market under mutual understanding, mutual acceptance, and mutual benefit principles.
"Hence, a memorandum of understanding (MoU) and mutual recognition agreement (MRA) between BPJPH and several foreign halal institutions would be signed in the forum, witnessed by Vice President Ma'ruf Amin," the agency head stated.

He said the forum will also discuss global issues on halal product assurance, including mutual acceptance of halal certificates issued by different countries to expedite halal product export and import cooperation.
"This forum is expected to give birth to a common strategy to increase the productivity of the global halal market," Irham remarked.
Cooperation in halal product assurance is one of the main issues in halal product assurance implementation in Indonesia, he underlined, adding that as halal product assurance has become a global trend, cooperation with foreign halal agencies is a necessity.
"Halal products have become the lifestyle of residents. It is no longer merely a religious issue but has become a global standard," the agency head remarked.
