Bandung, West Java (ANTARA) - West Java Governor Ridwan Kamil has said that he expects the 11th East Asia Local and Regional Government Congress in Bandung City to strengthen cooperation in several fields.

The congress is being held from November 23–25, 2022.

"Although this event is being held amid a state of mourning for the Cianjur earthquake (victims), I hope this activity will result in mutually strengthening cooperation in various fields," he said while opening the congress here on Thursday.

He expressed the hope that the congress will result in real cooperation for the progress of Asian nations.

"I also hope that there will be a blueprint for dealing with the economy after the COVID-19 pandemic," he said.

It is also hoped that all delegates will feel comfortable in Bandung, and the congress can become the best momentum for determining the future of East Asia, the governor added.
