Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Public Works and Public Housing Ministry has informed that currently, the Gedebage- Tasikmalaya-Cilacap (Getaci) Toll Road construction project is in the land acquisition stage.

"The Gedebage-Tasikmalaya-Cilacap Toll Road construction project is in the process of land acquisition and construction preparation," secretary general of the ministry, Mohammad Zainal Fatah, said during a hearing with Commission V of the House of Representatives, which was accessed from here on Wednesday.

He also shared details on the progress of two other toll road projects— the Cilacap-Pejagan and Cilacap-Yogyakarta toll roads. For both projects, a feasibility study is still underway.

The ministry is expected to conduct auctions for the two toll roads in 2024.

"It is expected that (the study) can be completed next year, so that the auction can be held in 2024," Fatah said.

PT Jasa Marga (Persero) Tbk informed that the project location for the Gedebage-Tasikmalaya-Cilacap (Getaci) Toll Road has been set for the Gedebage to North Garut section.

Jasa Marga business development director Mohamad Agus Setiawan said that currently, the designing and financing of the project are still being pursued.

Setiawan said that the toll road business entity (BUJT) PT Jasamarga Gedebage Tasikmalaya, which was only formed in early 2022, is preparing some things, including its organizational structure.

The Getaci Toll Road is one of the national strategic projects as stated in Presidential Regulation Number 109 of 2020 about national strategic projects.

The toll road consists of four sections. Section 1 from Gedebage to North Garut spans 45.20 kilometers. Section 2 from North Garut to Tasikmalaya runs 50.32 km. Section 3 from Tasikmalaya to Patimuan measures 76.78 km in length. Meanwhile, Section 4 from Patimuan to Cilacap spans 34.35 km.

The construction will be undertaken in two phases. The first phase of Gedebage-Tasikmalaya is set to begin in 2022 and get completed in 2024, while the second one, Tasikmalaya-Cilacap, will begin in 2027 and get completed in 2029.
