This mapping is needed to provide human resource development programs that are in accordance with the capabilities of human resources in each regionJakarta (ANTARA) - The Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy has asked regional governments to conduct a training need analysis of human resources before providing competency development and improvement programs.
"This mapping is needed to provide human resource development programs that are in accordance with the capabilities of human resources in each region," the ministry's deputy for resources and institutions, Diah Martini Paham, explained at the “2022 National Coordination Meeting for Tourism and Creative Economy,” according to an official statement released on Saturday.

By carrying out mapping, competency development and improvement programs can be tailored to the needs of the people because, maybe, people in some regions do not need training at an advanced level but a basic level, she said.
The Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy has identified five strategic pillars for the development of tourism and creative economy human resources in 2023, in accordance with the 2020–2024 National Medium-Term Development Plan (RPJMN).
The first pillar is sustainable tourism and creative economy, under which new skilling programs for human resources will be launched to open job and business opportunities.

The second pillar is competitiveness improvement through upskilling and reskilling, as well as competency standardization and certification.
The third pillar is the creation of added value through the Tourism and Creative Economy Academy program, the Tourism and Creative Economy Training Camp, institutional strengthening, and tourism and creative economy management.
The fourth pillar is digital transformation through the Human Resources Championship for Tourism and Creative Economy Independent Digital Entrepreneurship program and the Tourism and Creative Economy Human Resource and Institution Dashboard.
The fifth pillar is an improvement in productivity through the Tourism Awareness Movement and Creative Business Movement as well as the Tourism and Creative Economy Knowledge Management Virtual Class.
“We are optimistic that with collaboration, we can cooperate to strengthen the outputs of the programs that we will carry out next year,” Paham affirmed.
