Bali (ANTARA) - Vice President Ma'ruf Amin appealed to managers of tourist attractions to prepare to welcome tourists for the 2022 Christmas and 2023 New Year holidays.

"The pandemic has subsided during the Christmas and New Year holidays. People have not had holidays for a long time, and tourist attractions need to prepare themselves," Amin stated here on Friday.

The vice president also encouraged them to provide information regarding their tourist destinations, so that visitors feel comfortable.

The information conveyed is also expected to encourage an increase in micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs).

Especially in Bali, Amin assessed that tourism in the area was quite good and had continued to increase since the G20 Summit last November.

Meanwhile, regarding the potential for natural disasters, the vice president remarked that the government continues to remind ministries and non-ministerial government agencies as well as local governments to prepare themselves and conduct mitigation efforts.
