Just wait for the announcementJakarta (ANTARA) - Vice President Ma'ruf Amin stated that the government would definitely revoke the implementation of community activities restrictions (PPKM) after conducting an evaluation.
"PPKM will indeed be repealed, but wait a moment. Since (the pandemic) is considered to have subsided, we are waiting for the results of evaluation for Christmas and New Year," Amin stated at the Vice Presidential Palace here on Thursday.
President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) earlier noted that a study by all coordinating ministers and the health minister regarding the possibility of putting an end to the restriction would be completed by the end of December, and a decision would then be taken.
"The possibility of that will already be decided. However, even though people's movements are no longer restricted, do not assume conditions are completely safe," the vice president stated.
Amin also urged the public to continue to implement health protocols.

Based on the report from the Task Force for Handling COVID-19, the pandemic in Indonesia has been under control, which is indicated by community activities that can be conducted as usual as before the pandemic hit.
Data as of December 28, 2022, until 12:00 local time showed that the number of positive cases had increased by 695, thereby bringing the total case count to 6,718,090, while the number of active cases had decreased to 14,725.
