Since disability is not an obstacle (for them) to get achievement.
Jakarta (ANTARA) - Social Affairs Minister Tri Rismaharini expects more opportunities to be provided to people with disabilities to enable them to explore their skills in arts and other creative works.

The minister made the statement while attending the International Day of Persons with Disabilities (HDI) Expo 2022 here on Friday where 36 paintings created by people with disabilities were sold successfully.

"We strive to give space to our children and friends (with disabilities). Thus, they can work creatively according to their own talents. This time, we invite you (the attendances of the expo) to buy their works (the paintings), so they can survive and continue their livelihood," she stated.

The expo showcased several potential talents as well as creative economy products made by people with disabilities, such as paintings, dance forms, processed food and snacks, traditional clothing, handicrafts, as well as accessibility aids for disabled persons.
