As a national strategic project, the PDN development must be conducted according to its timetable and align with international standards, he stated.
"Ensure no obstruction will hamper (the project), as there will be changes in government services. We will also conduct regular progress review meetings. The project must be completed by October 20, 2024," Plate remarked at an unannounced inspection of the development site, as per the statement received here, Wednesday.
The minister noted that the unannounced inspection of the construction site at the Greenland International Industrial Centre in Cikarang, Bekasi, two months after the project's groundbreaking ceremony was conducted to observe the progress in development.
"Two months equal to eight percent out of the 24-month planning. I want to see how the project progresses in two months and does it (get completed) within the planned schedule or not," the minister stated.
Apart from instructing ministry officials to be mindful of the development progress, he also urged them to ensure the quality of construction work.
"Our concern is on the progress. Today is not the time to promise anything anymore. Not only the physical aspect, but all specifications must also be consistent, for instance, on the earthquake resistance aspect, and to meet the Tier 4 standard," Plate remarked.
While reminding relevant authorities to ensure the timely progress of the project's work, the minister also made assurance to them to provide assistance if they encountered difficulties.
The success to develop electronic-based government infrastructure hinges on the completion of PDN development, he remarked.
The PDN in Bekasi will be the pilot project for the platinum-level GBCI Green Building international certification and is also expected to be certified as a TIA 942 Rated 4 site.
The groundbreaking ceremony for PDN took place on November 22, and the building construction phase is expected to start next April.
