Yatun highlighted that the agency had recorded various achievements in 2022, which demonstrated BPK's determination to assess and audit the government's financial report despite the COVID-19 pandemic conditions.
"The BPK assessment reports gave stakeholders confidence, improved national administration, and contributed to corruption eradication missions," Yatun stated at BPK's 76th Anniversary commemoration here, as per the statement on Tuesday (January 17).
She drew attention to the fact that the audit board had made significant contributions to monitoring and assessing COVID-19 handling and economic recovery efforts, the disbursement of cash social assistance and cash village assistance, as well as implementing national priority programs and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
The agency was ranked first in terms of the highest budget absorption, reaching 99.65-percent rate, among government ministries and institutions in 2022, she noted, adding that it received various awards in human resources, financial management, and clean bureaucracy aspects in the same year.
Moreover, Yatun remarked that the BPK had developed the BPK Digital Enterprise Architecture (DNA) to map business processes, BKP General Office Automation (BPK GO) to integrate and facilitate BPK applications' access, and Big Data Analytics (BIDICS) to support the agency works through digital transformation.
She also highlighted BPK's success in bolstering its international prestige in 2022 through Indonesia's G20 Presidency and involvement in international organizations.
"The year 2022 was our momentum to bolster capacity in international cooperation by initiating the Supreme Audit Institution 20 (SAI 20) as the new G20 engagement group. We were also appointed Chair of the United Nations Panel of External Auditors as the external auditor for the United Nations, its specialized agencies, and the International Atomic Energy Agency," the BPK head stated.
Yatun underscored that in 2023, the BPK would face three major challenges of enforcing its core values, optimizing the utilization of its resources, and improving audit report quality and benefits.
