Jakarta (ANTARA) - Indonesia’s leading mutual fund investment application, Bibit.id, has introduced a “Bibit Bisnis” feature for companies and business owners, including start-up founders.

One of the problems faced by business owners is optimizing their idle funds, Bibit CEO Sigit Kouwagam said.

“When our company's assets continue to grow, we are often unsure how to optimize the idle cash. On the other hand, we don't want to put our company's money at risk,” he observed in a statement received here on Thursday.

The Bibit Bisnis feature has been introduced to help companies optimize their surplus funds by investing in quality mutual fund products from the best investment managers in Indonesia.

By investing in mutual funds, companies can get up to 3–7 percent in annual returns from idle cash. If there is any emergency need for funds for business activities, the investment can be withdrawn at any time without penalty.

This can also be done without any minimum placement funds as well as transaction or administration fees.

“The Bibit Bisnis feature can be utilized by business owners to maximize returns, while maintaining liquidity and risk of their company funds. We hope that this feature could help companies diversify their investments in mutual fund instruments,” Kouwagam said.

More than just offering quality investment products, the feature has been designed to help users invest in an easy, safe, and seamless manner.

In terms of convenience, Bibit users who currently have personal accounts will be able to use the Bibit Bisnis feature on the same app by switching to their business accounts with one toggle click. This feature will make it easier for users to monitor their personal and business investment portfolios in real time.

In addition, there is also a Multi-Level Access feature that will allow business owners to manage individuals who have access to their investment portfolio.

The roles of such individuals have been categorized into owner, super admin, checker, and maker, which can be adjusted to the company’s requirement and assign different authorities for each of them, he said.

In terms of security, users need not worry as their funds will be stored independently at a Custodian Bank registered at the Indonesian Central Securities Depository (KSEI).

As a platform that is licensed and supervised by the Financial Services Authority (OJK), Bibit applies a multi-layered security system and ensures that investments can only be disbursed to a bank account on behalf of the company.

In terms of convenience, users who are already familiar with the Bibit app will find the Bibit Bisnis feature easy to use.

With its simple and user-friendly design, the company expects the app to allow business owners to invest directly through their smartphones.

“Learning from large companies that have professional teams to invest their idle cash effectively, now any business owner can do the same with the Bibit Bisnis feature,” Kouwagam said.
