The 2023 WSBK will be held at the Pertamina Mandalika International Street Circuit, Central Lombok District, NTB, on March 3-5, 2023.
Head of the NTB Tourism Office Jamaluddin Maladi stated here on Tuesday that the NTB government has set a target for the number of WSBK spectators to reach 100 thousand.
"The central government is targeting the number of spectators to reach 75 thousand people. The governor is targeting 100 thousand people. Of the number, 25 thousand are for junior high school, high school, and vocational school students in NTB," he stated.
He explained that the allocation of tickets to students was conducted after being mutually agreed upon by the government, the Mandalika Grand Prix Association (MGPA), and ticket sales platform Xplorin at the launch of the Mandalika WSBK in Jakarta some time ago.
Maladi explained that low-priced tickets were being provided to students in NTB to enable them to witness WSBK at the Mandalika Circuit.
He noted that the Education Office of NTB at the provincial, district, and city levels would later collect the data of students.
Maladi expressed optimism that by allotting low-priced tickets to students, the target number of WSBK Mandalika spectators would be achieved. He is also upbeat that the students in NTB would stand to gain information through the event.
The 2023 Mandalika WSBK tickets started to be sold at presale prices on January 12, 2023.
There are three ticket categories with prices that have been discounted by up to 75 percent for the presale. The three ticket categories are Festival GA, Regular Grandstand, and Premium Grandstand.
The cheapest presale ticket is the one-day Festival GA pass sold at Rp50 thousand (around US$3.3). Meanwhile, presale tickets sold at the highest price are the three-day Regular Grandstand and Premium Grandstand passes sold at Rp312,500 (around US$20.66).
