"According to the development of BNPB's Operations and Control Center data today, the evacuation locations are spread across 15 areas," Acting Head of Disaster Data, Information, and Communication Center at BNPB Abdul Muhari noted in a written statement here on Friday.
Muhari detailed that 50 Heads of Families (KK) took refuge at the CV Thomas Complex, 50 families in Bank BTN Jayapura City, 200 people in Christ Raja Dok V, 400 people in Bhayangkara I, and 300 people in B-One.
Furthermore, 110 people sought refuge in front of the office of the Manpower Ministry, 125 people in TPI Hamadi, 65 people in the Bhayangkari Baru area, 100 people in the Hamadi village head office, 50 people in their relatives' houses, and 40 people in the United Tractor office.
Moreover, 260 people also stayed at the DOK IV Sumatra Street, 73 people at RT 01 Tasangka, 254 people at the Gajah Putih area, and 159 at Polairud Hamadi.
Meanwhile, data on material losses also showed an increase. He confirmed that 15 houses were heavily damaged, one house was moderately damaged, and 28 houses were slightly damaged.
In addition, a cafeteria collapsed and sank, while five office buildings and the Jayapura City Hospital incurred damage in addition to a mosque, two churches, a hotel, and a supermarket that were also affected by the earthquake.
The Jayapura City Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) team and the Papua Provincial BPBD, in coordination with the Regional Leadership Communication Forum (Forkopimda), continue to collect data, monitor, and provide basic emergency response support for survivors.
Currently, the City Government of Jayapura is also processing the emergency response status.
Currently, some of the urgent needs include electric generators, tents, folding mattresses, ready meals, blankets, mats, and mineral water.
